Supreme Commander 2

Supreme Commander 2

God I forgot how cheap the enemy AI was in this game...
Able to spam nukes faster than you can make anti-nukes....
Always know where your units and buildings are....
Can pump out units faster than you....

I wouldn't mind so much if your ally AI was just as productive, but no they just sit there with their thumbs up their arses...

I think you may want to have that checked out, looks like early symptoms of "git gud" disability.

Or you may just look at Custom AI settings.

There is only so much one can do when a 4v4 turns into 4v1 because your AI decides to just stop helping and merely resorts to just nuke spamming. Doesn't sound bad at first but after you quickly realise that means you have to deal with all four of their armies yourself... Yeah... No amount of 'git gud' will save you lol.

The SupCom2 AI utilizes neural networking, and is actually more advanced than comparable RTS AIs.

However, it stays a game-AI, and thus is inferior to skilled human players.

Also, i#d suggest you to do what DaBa said: try taking a look at what you have set your AI too. If they "Always know where your units and buildings are" then you must be figthing an AI ont he Cheating preset, which are the onlyones which got full map visibility by default. (And you shouldn't be suprised about a Cheating AI being, well, cheating).

Also, are we talking about campaign or skirmish AI? Those are entirely different, and i am alway ssuprised when campaign commanders don't deliberately try to kill themselves.

you just need to know what you're doing , other then that its easy.

This "AI" is that intelligent, it builds more than 10 energy reactors having only one extractor, after I put out the rest of its base.

In my opinion, there is no AI inside this game. There are only some scripts with timed events. But a AI could react, change behavour.

I hope, somewhen they will put in AIs in such games. This google AI might be a good option :lunar2019smilingpig:

Whilst i just gonna ignore this first point, i have to admit the last thing you wrote kind of triggered me.

There is a huge difference in a game AI and the Google AI. The latter is mostly machine learning, whilst the former would require actual lateral thinking (something even human struggle to do).

They migth be both called "AIs", but the way they are working is entirely different. Google AI has the aid of a world-spanning network of surveillance and databases, whilst the other is a upgraded chess computer.

Those are entirely different things that sadly bear the same name.

The AI isn’t hard to beat. Even the cheating AI has big weaknesses and can be easily killed 99% of the time if you know what you’re doing. I know it’s easier to just call it “cheap” and “unfair”, but it’s not. The more you play the more you learn and you will soon find out just how weak the AI is.

Gotta remember that one :D

AI is simple in this game. Max cheating AI can be beat, though you'll have to mass experimental vs them as they will keep sending experimentals at you. No tricks, cheats or exploits required.
Basic AI? Cant even be bothered with it, too easy.
Welcome to every AI ever made in the entire RTS genre.

The Ai is bad, the only way to compensate for this is to give them an eco boost, which you can control, it's not so bad in a swarm game such as this.
