I bought all the buffs in the game but it doesn't seem possible to beat Miru fast enough on Hard New Game Plus to still have 'em for Noah. I've been doing that other stuff but I've been having trouble finding many chances to do it.
Did you buy all the attack ups available from the shop in Post-Postgame?
The game expects you to truly be fully prepared on a NG+ run, though you can get away with not having max PP for badges, you still need to be high on the amount you do have.
Did you beat the 3 special bosses in NG? Each special boss you defeat will unlock some upgrades in the shop. In NG+, you can even beat them again since you would need to in order to unlock the extra +1 upgrade in the shop from NG+, but the special bosses are a huge pain in NG+(on Bunny Extinction NG+, 2 of the 3 are effectively forced Dodge Masters because of how much damage they do even with defensive items). I wouldn't be surprised if that were the same on Hard Loop 2 because Ashuri Special nulls your badges when hit and Nature Orb only works at low health(not to mention Cocoa's nulling your i-frames for a bit after being hit in her special fight).
I think you can have 40 Attack Ups total in NG if you find all of them and buy all the ones available through the shop. IIRC, it's 20 pickups, 20 purchased, but I'd have to load up my Hell NG 100%(not counting easter eggs where I 100%'d those on BEX) file to check how many were from the shop.
It is possible to beat Miru with buffs still active on Bunny Extinction Loop 2. But beating her with that much time left seems unreasonable. I was only between 10-20 seconds left when I reached Noah 1 on the buffs.
I got all of those upgrades.
On Hard, you'll at least have the benefit of a second cake and donut to help you survive for long enough.
The difficulty doesn't seem to affect the HP too much. The enemies do have more HP on higher ones due to the extra levels, but for the most part, you shouldn't expect the fights to be too much shorter than that.
Oh. I guess I'll go back to my manual save & keep trying to beat Miru without items. I used 2 donuts & a cake on her & I was planning on beating Noah's first 2 forms without using any items but that doesn't seem feasible anymore. Before New Game Plus, Miru & final form Noah were the hardest parts but New Game Plus seems to've changed that. I'm about to go to bed though so I'll have wait til tomorrow to try it.
Is standard Hell easier than Hard New Game Plus? If so, I think I'll try beating standard Hell before I continue Hard New Game Plus.
This is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I only had 3 deaths on this run until I reached this boss yet this is still impossible for me. I had to use all of my items to get past Noah's first form because of her retarded health bar & because she's most of the worst bosses in one.
It's absolutely disgusting that such an unforgivable difficulty spike got into a game that costs money. Even in a free game made by one person, this would be unforgivable. If I made a list of the top 5 worst videogame bosses I've ever fought, it would be extremely short because I'd just be talking about Noah on 5 different modes.
The fact that my 2 favorite bosses are from this game makes me especially unwilling to excuse this. Someone made a long series of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ bosses on purpose. These fights are fun on Normal. On everything else, they're like something out of one of the very worst NES games.
It sucks ass that this boss alone is barring me from more than half of the content of this game. None of the bosses that come after Noah are even remotely close to the difficulty, unfairness, or tedium of Noah. Even Miriam is extremely easy for me despite the fact that I never remember to adjust my badges when fighting her.
Until the next DLC is released, there's nothing left for me in this game because of this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Equip the Ribbon and Erina badges and repeatedly charge and fire the red magic while holding the hammer V button. (I am not sure, but fully charging seems to restore significantly more stamina than the normal charge and may be optimal--at the very least, I seem to get the Ribbon badge to allow extra shots more often when I charge slightly longer than normal, which is not really supposed to happen during a hammer combo.) You will rack up over 300 hits per stamina bar this way, leading you to quickly max the damage bonus for combo at 1000 hits. The super carrot and blue/yellow/orange magic when you cannot melee her will allow you to quickly reach MAX combo meter, which you can maintain easily as long as you don't get hit. When she flies into the air for attacks, use the blue burst magic to continue to deal damage and raise your combo meter.
It is essential that you do not get hit very much as that neuters your damage on NG+ by wrecking your combo rank. You also do not want to drop combo, as that resets your combo count damage bonus to zero and drops your combo rank by a few levels.
Charged blue magic does the most damage I think (seems to be pretty close to orange), but charged red magic allows you to stunlock bosses for longer with the Ribbon badge which may lead to more overall damage since you can fire more times. Never accidentally use the red burst though; it's utter garbage and might as well do nothing.
