Help beating Syaro?
The no melee ♥♥♥♥ is difficult. I dont feel liek I'm doing a lot of damage. Should i do other bosses first or item hunt? Also, what"color" of magic or w/e should i be using?

You can still use melee to stun her and to build up your combo gauge. Keep in mind that the higher your rank is, the more damage you do (40% increase at MAX rank). Ribbon's blue magic does a good job. Quick drop helps a lot when dodging the missiles. And as always, practice always helps.

In addition to the above, if you are feeling risky you can carrot bomb her for increased damage.

Also use your yellow beam to charge your BP and once its full switch to blue Ribi magic and use the special BP attack at MAX. Should help get your combo up and do a good amount of damage as well.

Hunting other bosses first might increase her level, making her harder to defeat if you aren't prepared.

You can opt for carrot bombs but like Kona said, it is liable to make you a sitting duck when next to her.

Or if you're patient enough like I was in my first playthrough, just spam the beam magic and stay far away from her to easily dodge most of her attacks. c:

Use Hammer and yellow magic ;-;

Collect more items and beat Syaro later. Pure Love and Air Dash will be of great help.

Spamming Carrot Bombs definitely is the way to go, especially when Syaro's sitting in a corner. With the hourglass and the badge that further increases carrot bomb damage, her HP should deplete so fast you should be able to demolish her in less than a minute even on BEX difficulty.
If you already have it, the Super Carrot deals quite respectable damage to her, too.

As for Ribbon's magic, the default blue one is probably the most reliable, especially when you take the boost attack into consideration.
^ he might not have an hourglass or Carrot Boost badge depending on progress. tbh I think just dodging and spamming Charged Shots for now should be fine until Syaro's attacks become muscle memory to the player. It also allows them to practice muscle memory'ing Ribbon's Charged Shots while dodging, too.

To TC: but yes, carrots deal additional damage to enemies that have Null Melee buff. However, placing carrots is risky if you don't know the enemy well, so just be careful. I really suggest using charged shots while dodging so that you can also learn for future bosses how to get more damage. More damage = lesser time you have to fight them = lesser things you have to dodge.

Syaro is definitely a boss where it really helps to master the fast fall technique (down + jump in the air), which is a big help against her attack where she fires one missile of each color, and can help with the blue missiles as well should you choose not to go over them. Also, it may help to know that the giant falling hexagons do not have hitboxes in the dimmer part, allowing you to fit between two adjacent ones.
