Not SDL file.

Please help, I started suffering with the "Not SDL file" issue I tried the fix multiple times, nothing worked, in the end I reset my entire PC which did work, for a few days but now i'm back to where I started, if anyone has any fix for this please help.

Go to Documents/my games/Gates of Hell/profiles/[numbers]/ and delete the file that the error points to

If it was empty the game wouldn't crash. You're either looking in your game installation or IDK even where.
Either way, the full path is:
C:\Users\[username]\Documents\my games\gates of hell\profiles\[numbers]\
If there's no gates of hell folder there, go to C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\digitalmindsoft\gates of hell\profiles\
Note that AppData is a hidden folder, so you might need to use the Windows search feature and type %appdata% there

Once there, delete the file the crash points to. If not sure what file it is, delete ALL of the following:
keys.set, options.set, settings.set

I know you have no idea who I am but I've been struggling with this for like a year constantly having no idea what to do or anything I love you I would always get so sad when it just wouldn't start

I had this error for the first time today and tried all the fixes.
I had no Gates of Hell folder in my Documents folder.
BUT I did have a C:\Users\myusername\AppData\Local\digitalmindsoft\gates of hell folder.
And in that folder was the profiles. And it that was the folder that O had come to hate.
I highlighted that folder and hit the delete key with my middle finger!
All problems solved, except my PC shuts down before I can create a campaign.
Someday I will be able to play this awesome looking game.
Any idea where the log files would be for this game so I can take a look at them?

Hey, thought I'd let you know that the issues I had started to have affected multiple games. Ends up my Intel Core i7-14700K CPU was what I can only guess that it was overclocked? I installed the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility and set the performance core ratio from 55 to 52 and all my crashes and errors went away! Hope this helps someone else.
