Van Helsing 4
Is neocore over with the series? I wish they leave other projects and make VH4 instead.

As far as I know, they consider the Van Helsing series a completed project. Van Helsing Final Cut combines all three of the first games in one complete story. A new continuation would be fun, though.

Van helsing has something that other arpgs dont, characters, humor and the authentic gothic horror theme. I hope they bring it back soon.

Yup. I haven't tried their Warhammer games, but from the store page it looks like they are strictly serious. You wouldn't get the gothic horror from either of the Sacred Gold games, but they've got the humor. I know people who've played Diablo 2 don't like Diablo 3, but Diablo 3 is the only one of that series that I've played, and I enjoyed it. It's got the occasional humor, along with the dark theme. It's the Steampunk and dry humor and Katarina that make this game unique for me.

I'd like to see more Van Helsing games, but only if they continue the dynamic of Van Helsing and Katarina, as that's the most important part of the game.

I hope they do that, although I am not optimistic that they will

I also recommend the game "Shadows: Awakening" as another good story-driven ARPG which has a similar type of sense of humor like Van Helsing has. It's not Steampunk though.

I have that one on my Wishlist. I'm glad to hear it has some humor in it. It looks similar to some of my other open-world games.

Without Van Helsing and Katarina and the same voice actors, this game is pointless and just another arpg.

Ive had Shadows in my wishlist, will check it out in a sale.

I think Van Helsing series is as good as it is. Even if Neocore projects may end up unabalanced or buggy you know there's a ton of heart in their games and Inquisitor is not different. I'd prefer they concentrated their efforts in other projects and I always expect great stuff from them.

Now that theyre done with Arthur, think they might get back to this?

I noticed someone say that Inquisitor looks strictly serious. It's pretty tongue-in-cheek at times. It presents itself as being serious, but they ham it up to the Nth degree as is appropriate for the 40K universe.

It depends on whether or not you appreciate the deadpan approach as to whether you'll be into it. It doesn't have quite the same quippy dynamics as VH, but there's definitely a good deal of that dynamic between VH and Kat going on between the protagonist of Inquisitor and Van Wynter, the captain of your ship.

I hope they do more of these in the future, by far my favorite story focused arpg of all time.

Yes they will probably screw it up like every iconic TV series that were really good and the won't do any new thing.

So true I love the humor in this game!

Got to admit, Van Helsing didn't immediately grow on me. I think it was because of the UI but after giving it another shot I got really into it and i'm currently quite addicted to it :)

Hope they are working on VH4 after the Arthur rpg expansion.
