Unoptimized game/Low Fps even on mid-high GPU
Im running on
GTX 1050 ti
8GB ram
I7 8gen

see the minimum require of the game make it roughly mid graphic setting but somehow the game lag so much that even put everything low still have 40fps and sometimes spike to 7 fps, what even more worst that everytime you teleport, after the load, when you spawn, the game froze for like a minute or 2,(i know its coz rendering, i mean come on, everything is low and still slow. The game getting more worst when thers a lot of entity and also explosion.

note: i have update my Nvdia driver and also verify the game and still running on everything low is 40fps, i tried use geforce experince to "optimize" the game, and it still running below 60, can anyone help me?

worst come to worst i have to redownload the game, which is a hassle for a person who have slow internet connection

i require a help

Try switching between DX11 and DX12, I personally have a smoother experience on DX12.

Install the game on an SSD if possible

Use the community guide on tweaking the settings

Game works fine on my laptop (560x 4gb), in low settings at more than 60fps with no stutter

Another thread about performance issues. Bad news - you cannot do anything about it, this game is just poorly optimized. The only workaround, that works, is to set -NOTEXTURESTREAMING into launch parameters. The trade-off is, you will have much longer loading times then.

Hi,

my spec are

I5-6400 4x2,7 GHz 8G RAM ( GTX1050TI 4 GB VRAM)

- open taskmanager --- start option-- and deactivate all programms with status start impact high

- open steam with rightclick , administrator right , deactivate steam overlay pls

- start Borderlands 3 and then target to graphic options

- settings to very low, low is not enough, it must be very low

- Resolution 1920x1080 DX 11

- limited fps to 60 FPS , it should the same Hertz on your screen 60 Hertz

- streaming texture pls ULTRA SETTINGS

- press windows + G for Gamemode ingame

- taskmanager ( Services ) cklick to Borderlands 3 rigght click

- Borderlands 3 to real time priority ( very important )

I also use MSI Afterburner to monitor the parameters

I hope i could help yu

Try updating your potato PC.
Dexamon Apr 16, 2020 @ 12:59am

if you have updated all drivers, the game should now run without problems

According to the settings that I wrote down above

should the game have the following parameters, checked with MSI Afterburner.

VRAM 3.6-3.9 GB of max 4 GB
Temperature; 70 ° C
RAM 7 GB of max 8GB

You can clearly see here that the graphic card is reaching its limits

Recommended would be one
better graphics card and at least 16 GB of RAM

Too bad you can't update some people brain, not everybody has the means to get a new PC / video card, his config has higher specs than the minimum required specs to play BL3.

If you have nothing to say it is better not to say anything ...

Same as @Carapenga my laptop runs this game over 60fps in low settings with a 4gb GPU and 8gb of system memory.

Here is the community guide:

-NOTEXTURESTREAMING is best used only with 16GB of ram or more and on a high end system so don't think that would help your situation OP.

I checked your steam profile and it seems that you're trying play this on a laptop (could be wrong). Laptops are infamous for cutting back on specs. It may say you have a GTX 1050ti but it's actually the mobile version. Which a lot of websites don't specify. I used to have a laptop with the same gpu and I remember there was an option to turn on faster performance over quality option in the nvidia control panel. Also find out if you're able to upgrade the laptop's ram because that might be the biggest bottleneck here.

Your system is fine if properly cooled, the mobile 1050 ti has exactly the same performance as the desktop one, only cooling can impact performance.

I have an Acer Nitro 5, the Radeon version with equivalent graphic card and it runs fine in low settings but I sure have to keep my laptop cool.

try the following right click the game select properties then startup launch options put the following in and see how that goes

-high -USEALLAVAILABLECORES -maxMem=7168

GPU is fine, but sometimes laptops use more of their resources. Going from 8 GB to 16GB RAM (assuming the laptop can support it) would be a key and relatively inexpensive improvement. Just make sure the sticks match each other in everything and are the right speed for your computer.

You don't understand computers if you think those were potato specs. Computers don't have to be replaced every time the new part hits the market. Bye troll.

On an actual reasonable note for anyone who checks this thread, BL3 is a current gen game so if a computer is over 5 years old, make sure to check the specs. Too many people have assumed that since they can run BL1, BL2, and even BLTPS with no problem that they can do the same for this one. Read the specs and see if your computer will work. And though 6 GB RAM is listed as the minimum, functioning and being reasonable to play are different things. 16 GB is the spot.
