Best time to start the DLC missions?

So im level 25 atm and only playing through the main story. However I have all the dlc and each is available at level 13.
Should I drop the main story for now to focus on the DLC content or finish story first?

I like playing the game but if you wanted to “power level” you’d have a couple of options; Jack (above) & others so you basically watch as they do all the work for you or just use bl3editor .com <- you can even level your gear.

So, back to playing the game:
When you start a new character you need money to buy SDU’s. Once I’m done with Promethea I usually head over to the first few zones of the Handsome Jackpot, get some cash & XP. Back to Athenas then onto that place that “doesn’t rhyme” with schmeden six ;)

What I’ve found is only the maps you go to lock in to your current level, not the entire dlc. So I’d say check the drops & if there’s something that you want from a dlc, go there when you want it. Once you activate mayhem mode, everything scales to you so you can refarm any items as you level up.

I would suggest completing main story first then going for DLC. I was about level 13 when I decided to try Love and Tentacles DLC and it was really good, problem was that I finished the DLC around level 27or so which meant I was massively overpowered when I returned to main story. This actually ruined some fun for me as I was 1 shoting everything which made the game really boring.

Def what RAmiel said. Other than the pearl artifact from GL&T I’m not there’s any mission reward worth carring about. COM’s & other good dlc items can be farmed & re-farmed (cough, lightshow cough) ;)

PS I’ve just completed the game & am testing playing thru TVHM vs NVHM trials, missions, etc both starting at mayhem 4. So far, for me; TVHM is def the way to go, way faster XP

BTW, have you tried the Crit SMG yet? Lighshow(s) are still my goto weapons for Amara phasegrasper but the Crit (a.k.a. the poor mans Plasma coil if you don't have Arms Race yet) has really impressed me.

So easy to farm too...just go tip Moxxi $1000 on Sanctuary a bunch of times and you will get them in your mailbox.
