No, you are a fanboy by your behaviour. Go lick Pitchforks shoes some more.
Get a better job or find a cheaper hobby -OR- learn to exercise restraint and buy during a Sale instead of at release bc you're not getting a complete gm on day-1, regardless of price.
If you don’t like coop as there are many antisocial players there get bl2 on sale as it has much more content at this time and learn the game as it will last a while....then get bl3 as it is getting more content and I think you will enjoy bl3 overall the best after all that.
I have both BL2 and BL3, almost 2k hours on BL2 as there's just so much content and I've played the game through on NVHM, TVHM and UVHM with all 6 characters and every DLC. It's a LOT of content. I have about 1k hours on BL3, 300h from EGS, and now almost 700h on Steam when I transferred my saves over (played through on NVHM and TVHM with all four characters and all DLCs).
I'd say BL2 is the better game in a number of ways, although weapon and battle mechanics in BL3 are better over BL2 (as often mentioned by some people).
I don't regret buying either, maybe watch a 30 minute walkthrough of each game on youtube to get a feel. It won't spoil too much and gives an example of what to expect. Spoil at your own risk of course :)
Personally, i think Borderlands 2 (terrible loot and filler content) is highly overrated and inferior compared to, both, the first game and the Pre-Sequel which at least tried to do some new things (Oxygen, gravity, "thumping" villains with your ass). Not to mention that it toned down the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ attempts at humor that continues to plague this franchise.
As for the plot and characters.
If you're looking for somebody as annoying and grating as Tiny Tina. Fret not! Vaughn will not disappoint!
Right as I wrote this message BL3 went on sale and main game costs 20€, super delux edition is around 35€. Ultimate is imo not worth it unless you REALLY need that battleroyale crap.
BL2s story at least takes a while to get cringey, BL3 is one big cringefest.
The DLC on both are fantastic so it's a bit of a wash there.
BL2 has entirely new characters to play with whereas BL3 has some lackluster extra trees.
I don't know what mods look like with BL3 but when you really run out of stuff to do in BL2 there is always the mod scene which fixes just about every problem an end-game player can think of.
BL2 has no cap to badass ranks but BL3 does have a more interesting badass rank system in general (even though at a point it stops giving any benefit), another wash.
They're pretty similar except if you played BL2 first then you REALLY aren't going to like BL3's story (even moreso if you played BL1). As said before, the price is what really separates two somewhat similar games, and even before price comes into play- BL2 is still a bit better to a lot better depending on what you care about.
Oh and BL2 just straight-up has way more content, so there's that.
What ever happened to the PhysX system anyway? having globs of acid and slag come off enemies, them melting into puddles if corrosion kills them, outhouses full of sewer water that flows out when you open them and all simulated particles. Weird how nothing uses it now.
