Co-op connection bug

My friend and I bought BL3 on Steam a couple days ago. We were able to play together for one session. Now, whenever we try to join each others game, we get a "Your connection has timed out. Please check your network." I can join random people with no issue.

I have already tried:

*Restarting my router

*Uninstalling and Reinstalling the game on both our PCs

*Unlinking and Relinking my Shift account.

*Trying to join from Steam and trying to join from Shift.

*Joining while already loaded into the game (instead of from the main menu)

*Setting up port forwarding for the ports BL3 steam edition use (according to https://portforward.com/borderlands-3/

*Disabling firewalls on both PCs

Does anyone know what else I can try to solve this issue?

I should also add that I submitted a ticket to 2K support, but they have not got back to me yet.

same issue here, we had almost no issues joining each other yesterday, but now, it doesnt work at all

2k got back to me, but so far they have been unable to help. This might help you though:

try to unlink your gearbox account to steam from the gearbox main page, then opening the game and re-doing all the stuff. leave the connection to friends-only and only invite through steam, that did it for me and my friend.

I unlinked my Shift account from my Steam account, and had my friend do the same. Its seems that Shift was the problem. Thank you for the suggestion uNable, it was a life saver.

EDIT: This only worked once. We tired it today, and it still timed out.

SO SUCK DEV'S please steam remove it and refund us

Same Problem here.
We figured one way out which worked 3 Times for us.
One Starts Game and invites the other one . The other one just accept the invite with borderlands closed.
This way we Could join a couple Times.

For some reason Gearbox decided to use Teredo which is the biggest pile of ♥♥♥♥ MS ever came up with. Search in Google for BL3 + Teredo. It's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nightmare.

This is broken. Just tried to set this up for co op with a pal through Steam and Discord. Total fail. Wrecked the discord and crashed the game WTF.

Wow this AAA title gets an F. Soooooo broken, how can it wreck Discord like this. The game crashing would be bad enough, but it seriously wrecked the chat server. Bad news.

try to go to a host and he join or u invite him. my brother and i have the same issues over a third person it funcion better, also not stable internet provider, like over the cellphone made us problems
