Yes I highly recommend it, because Season Pass is cheaper in the super deluxe package then it is standalone, you save about $20

No, the base game was kinda funny. I reget buying the super deluxe. Haven't finished a single DLC yet and probably never will.
The whole game becomes dull pretty fast after the main story is completed - nothing much to do.

So far the DLC's have been fine, but short. Besides the graphical and gameplay upgrades, they are pitiful compared to BL1 & BL2

The base game, story semi-ok. Not a patch on BL2. But the endgame in BL3 is non-existent.

No Raid Bosses.
Very few side quests; the dlc's have so few it's barely funny.
No races or time challenges
No bar-room brawl or similar
No 'vault symbol' type challenges, making ALL the maps less enticing to explore.

Then there are the bugs and glitches..

For me rule of thumb for BL3
If you only/mostly care bout story might wanna skip it altogether.
If you care more for the gameplay then i'm sure you will have fun.

On the note on the super deluxe package....the dlc are kinda short but still fun.
Not sure if it is worth the FULL asking price....for the Super Deluxe. but for 50 id say it is worth it.

It is less enjoyable than BL2, has bad balance, lacks content and replayability.

The price tagg on the BL3 season pass suggested that it will be even even better than the BL2 season pass. We now know that this is not the case.

No. Ignore my hours and achievements, I played this on PS4 and 100% completed everything in the game to get a proper feel for it, and even grinded the 'end-game', which arguably there isn't any, it's just killing bosses over and over for better loot.

- Story. It's god-awful. Horribly written, it's literally one giant plot hole with humour for 5-year olds and some overused slapstick. New characters are dull and annoying, old characters are devolved into a singular defining characteristic and lose all interesting nuances, and it's just generally terrible.

- Gameplay. Overall an upgrade in gunplay and movement. It's fairly satisfying at least.

- End-game. Nope, it's just loot grind. I couldn't stand BL2s end-game either though, I thought it was pointless.

- Size. It's bigger than BL1 (although devoid of nearly all BL1's quality) and smaller than BL2. The DLCs are small and shoddy though.

If you wonder why I got it on PC after all this.... a friend. We have co-oped all Borderlands games, and it was practically tradition that we do this too since it's on sale.

It's a good game, wouldn't care for the story all it's like nails on a chalk board.

But the gameplay is much better, I never really cared for end game BL1/2 I was mostly someone who got his characters to max level and that was mostly it and in this game it's really no different, still just grinding like in the others.

I will say DLC's are good, short but I find most DLC's in this franchise have been fairly short.

Now for some unfortunate stuff, there is a lot of bugs even for a game that is almost a year old, and this is especially heavy for the DLC's, I've ran into multiple bugs just within' one hour and it's crazy bugs like, when in FFYL, a certain boss hit me and sent me flying straight into the sky, then seconds later all my guns had the "reload" text permanently on my screen even when they were fully loaded.

Overall, if you're bored and got 50$ to throw at something that'll give you enjoyment for a good 100 hours or so then by all means go for it. You can always refund it if you don't like it.

I've put about a thousand hours into it, got the edition with all DLCs for both EGS and Steam (transferred my saves over to Steam). It's been a solid win for me. If you've done 500h on BL2, then you'll likely get several hundred from BL3 (in my case, I did about 2000h on BL2). It would come to 10-30 cents an hour in your case, which is fairly cheap if you compare it to how much you would pay to watch a movie, or something... It's your money tho', maybe watch some walkthroughs on Youtube to get a feel first?

If you want to play the game and DLC, only buy the Super Deluxe. Its the way better deal while its on sale.

I'm on the opposite side here.
I found TOW to be extremely shallow after 2/3 of the game. I kept pushing until the end, expecting the promised complex and rewarding choice system; it never came. I've read a comment somewhere "ocean wide, but puddle deep" about it. Great start but lacking AAA production budget.

On the other hand, contrary to TOW's failed promise of a deep story, BL3 really delivered on its specialty: gameplay. Yeah the main story is a bit of a miss, but it's not Borderlands focus. Although DLC3's storytelling is quite good IMO.

It's a matter of setting expectations correctly. BL3 has solid looter-shooter gameplay. If it's OP's thing, the (super) Deluxe edition on sale is a great value.
