Take a look here, i uploaded the differences:
https://i.ibb.co/rs6MbbT/Untitled-3.jpg

It doesnt look that bad in screenshots but believe me this is FREAKING HUGE and it covers a big scale of my screen, i uninstalled Borderlands and i will play it again when they fix this issue...

UPDATE JULY 23:
They added back the Hud Scale option but it still DOESN'T WORK

The framerate options are all borked too, if you set it to all the way to the right (unlimited) its labeled as custom, and "capped 120 fps" is actually the custom. And none are working with freesync anymore.

And it has been a month already.
I am this close to free out that 101GB on my SSD.

Do it.
This game has been rendered unplayable for many of us. And three patches later, the issue remains, and the setting removed from Video options.

"Rendered unplayable".

What ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nonsense. The HUD is still not that big, at all. It's absolutely, 100% playable. Hell, if anything I consider the top image to be too small, and the bottom to be a better size. But that's not relevant, it's fine to prefer the top, but claiming the bottom is unplayable is hyperbolic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Please explain why the HUD being somewhat bigger than you'd personally prefer makes it "unplayable".

I didn't play BL1 or 2, played pre-sequel a little....and this, I have about 200hrs in.
I've noticed nothing that makes me feel that it's 'unplayable'. I've had no map issues and/or issues locating anything via the maps. I really don't even notice the HUD 99% of the time.

I come across this thread, open it, and people are having existential crisis-like meltdowns over this...and I am unable to perceive why exactly.

I'm not trolling, nor looking to be trolled due to this response. I just don't understand the issue. Maybe it's due to the fact that I was trained under the motto 'Adapt & Overcome' with my time as a Marine, and that concept applies in more situations than I'm coherent of...because I can so easily overlook--and continue on with something that is driving a lot of others crazy.

So yeah...I went and had a look at that, since I hadn't yet heard of it. It's literally "Carebears with Guns".

Here..
This image is of how the Skill page is broken in 3440x1440p NOTICE: at the top left, The Skill menu is covering the actual Standard menu and everything is overlapping? I'm unable to click on the Arrow to switch the Skill trees, it will instead click the menu button behind it... This is a huge issue when using a mouse/keyboard.. Just shows how its ported badly to PC.

Next The Map... In this image Although you can't see my mouse for some reason but I am pointing at the Drop Pod Icon and the ( ) are like an inch to the Right of the actual Icon.. Ya, I would say that's unplayable when you can't even click on things on the map to travel to them.. Yes you can just press E and travel to the drop pod through the menu there, but when doing this for other places that aren't on the menu you literally can't click on them.

Here again, the Events page.. Can't read the bottom of the page and it's overlapping the menu at the top left almost completely.

My issues are exactly the same.

You seem incapable of typing a sentence without profanity, I am overjoyed to hear you think my opinion is f.bs.

I shall certainly avail myself to you for the rest of my years, so any opinion I have going forward is put to you first for analysis.

Be sure to wear your mask, really helps with the drips. Perhaps put a couple on your knees for good measure.

I bought the game about a week ago and have dumped about 50 hours in. 3440x1440. I set the "configure safe zone" option all the way to the smallest and the HUD and menus are fine. Main issue is on the map with the cursor being off icons by like an inch. Just means I select the fast travel points from the convenient list on the left. Slightly annoying but fully functional. 100% playable. Hopefully they fix it soon.

I have the exact issues but I don't see how its unplayable. Not defending GB as I definitely want it fixed too. Unplayable seems like an extreme exaggeration.

Noelle @GBX has been told of this issue, multiple times in the patch note comments that come out weekly.

'They are aware of the issue' is the boilerplate response.

Of course they are aware. The setting was There, and now it is not. We didn't remove it from the Video Options.

From what I have gathered, there was a HUD Scaling issue with the console(s). Fixed by hard coding the configuration; and removing it from the settings.

Unfortunately, those of use who had it set at our preferred setting, it got Nuked. For me it's the HUD size and location (it wont go flush to the screen) / nor scale down.

They also removed our ability to edit the .ini files. All those settings are now on their servers, leaving us with virtually blank configuration files.

Right and I agree that the whole issue is a bummer and totally not cool. Just seeing people say that the game is unplayable is a stretch. You know how I know? I'm playing the game. The game is totally playable.

It is an exaggeration, the game is "playable" but the frustration of this makes it unplayable to those having the issues. If you understand what I mean? Like, you want to have fun with a game but there are things in it that are bugged or broken that take the enjoyment out of it.
The map issue is the most frustrating for me because you have to use the map so much because the minimap is useless because it's so zoomed in you can't see where you need to go. This also might be a added thing that has to do with the UI Scaling in Ultrawide.

I played 40 hours of the game and I just got fed up with it. The maps get bigger and the frustration gets worse. I mean on Sanctuary.. omg, it's so bad. Whoever did the map for this game did such a poor job.

Yeah I get it. I've been using an Ultrawide monitor for years and refuse to play any games that don't support the 21:9 aspect ratio. I have friends with ultrawide monitors who are fine playing with the goofy black bars on the sides of the screen. I still wouldn't label those games unplayable. If I had stumbled upon this thread before buying the game I might not have bought it. Luckily a buddy of mine also has the same monitor as I do and said the game is fine, and I have been having a great time with it.

I would rather take black bars over the way it is now. I even tried to lower the resolution and the game just crashes lol. Not much I can do but wait for a fix or just shelf it.

Yeah to each their own I guess. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

I'm having the same problem. Like an off by one or fence-post error mismatch between the slider and actual array options.
