I don't like Warframe sadly.
For the "time sink where I can switch off mentally and just shoot stuff for a few hours", Destiny 2.
I just can't really get into 3rd person games, so Warframe is sadly out, and the "realistic military shooter" concept has never had any interest for me.
That said if you don't mind the 3rd person, Warframe does look pretty good.
Anywho BL3 is the best of the options presented unless you are looking for a more mmo type game.
Also Division 2 is third person and is not a bad game, but something to consider as well is Destiny 2 and Division 2 are online only where as BL3 you can play offline if needed.
I haven't tried The Division 2 since i don't want to install another launcher.
Source: 1500 hours in Destiny 2
There is 0 world building.
99.9% of the story is from Tapes or Text.
No NPCs
Avoid F76 until Wastelanders update.
Division 2 is fun especially with the Warlords Update, but its not a game for everyone. If you like Cover shooters its great, if you are more of a run and gun guy you are likely going to get killed especially with the latest difficulty spike.
BL3 is a hit and miss.
gameplay is 1000x better than BL2.
Maps feel smaller but that's only because you travel between planets. Otherwise the total "map pieces" is currently about the same as BL2 if not a few more.
My main issue is they made Too many Planets and made them feel bite sized instead of having a few large massive planets to explore.

comes with NPCs and Fallout 3 style dialogue/questing, with all the new mechanics. not barren or boring at all.
In it's current state for past 1 year - it is barren, boring - and worst AAA game launch of the Decade.
Now it's pretty finished.
Who would launch a game without NPC's or a story?
More importantly why in the world did they think players wanted a "Battle Royale" mode?
The CEO was "Surprised" no one wanted Nuclear Royale.
Imagine that - they wasted time on a feature no one literally wanted.
The Entire game was poorly designed mess that is fallout in name only.
They should have called it Radioactive Junk Collecting Simulator.
Cause that is literally the entire game. No storyline, No objectives. Your entire purpose in F76 is to collect Junk and Take Radiation damage from everything.
