Hey everyone!

It’s hard to believe it’s already been a year since The Rogue Prince of Persia launched. To mark the occasion, our colleagues have been way too zealous and they managed to put together a MASSIVE content drop that is going to be a pain to recap (Thank you Devs!) That is why the full 15 pages – yes fifteen - patch note is available here[therogueprinceofpersia.com].  Here is a TL:DR :

1. Core Systems Polished for Better Flow & Onboarding

2. A Massive Content Drop: The Freeze Element!

3. New Gear, Stats Screen, Rebalancing & much more

We did all these improvements after watching and listening closely to the feedback from our 1 million players over the year (1 million! We still can’t believe that.)

And here's the trailer :

Difficulty and pacing have been carefully tuned to deliver a far more satisfying challenge—less frustration early on, and way more room for pure mastery over time (that sweet "Easy to learn, hard to master" motto!)

• The Wallrun Fix: Too many of you were cheesing General Berude with the Air Dash. (Okay, fine, that's partly on us). Now, we've added mandatory wallrun sections to teach the flow.

• Vayu Power-Up: Wallrunning now actively fills your Vayu bar, rewarding you for staying stylishly airborne.

• Faster Pacing: Zagros and Aqueduct are compressed to cut down runback fatigue and get you to the action quicker.

Once, while out fishing, my granddad adjusted his bucket hat and said: "Son, no good rogue-lite ever lands without deep elemental interactions." Taking his wise angling advice to heart, we introduce Freeze:

•  Freeze 'Em Solid: Stack it twice to freeze enemies completely, interrupting their attacks.

• Shatter & Synergies: The frozen state ends with a heavy damage burst. Enemies in water get double stacks, and a swift Kick instantly shatters them for tactical repositioning.

• Run Stats Screen: Track your performance and runtime in the Oasis and at the end of successful runs.

• Weapon Affixes: Weapons now spawn with up to 4 affix slots (Bronze to Diamond) that you can reroll at Astara’s Shop.

• Crit Nerf: Crit builds were scaling out of control, so we reined them in a bit (don't worry, new Critical Sharpener medallions are here to help).

• New  Challenges: chaotic "Suspicious Chest" combat arenas are all waiting.

• And a massive pile of extras: Final boss rework (Nogai got scarier), mob density reworks, elites drops medallions and a mountain of QoL fixes.

We know we announced this update for summer so we are wayyyyy late. But hey, technically there are still 4 days of summer left, right?! Thanks a million for your incredible patience, we genuinely hope this chunky update makes up for the wait.

Happy Anniversary Rogue Prince!

– Matt & The Evil Empire Team

The Rogue Prince of Persia is turning ONE! Which means it’s officially old enough to start thinking about potty training.

Anyway... earlier this year, we also hit 1 MILLION PLAYERS across all platforms! Not bad for a studio's first game.

So naturally, we celebrated with a few drinks… and locking in the Anniversary Update, coming September 17th! And yes that's still in summer, which ends 5 days later ;)

See you then!
