Considering that you don't recognize DDU, it's better to skip that point.
Download GPU software (AMD - Adrenalin, Nvidia - Geforce Experience) and let it detect and update your drivers.

How do I know if the drivers installed correctly or not?

If it's due to incorrect GPU drivers then you will notice it when game no longer drops that error.

It happens to me in different ways. Either flies out without errors to the desktop, or crash report comes and it happens not only in hoi but also in other games. I have tried everything and clean installation of graphics drivers and reset the laptop to factory defaults several times and downloaded directx last and visual studio, but all to no avail. Maybe it has something to do not with drivers but with the video card itself, maybe badly fixed or came its expiration date. If you know something I will be grateful if you dedicate.

• System installed wrong driver or driver got corrupted - use gpu producent software to update your drivers,
  
• Something is overheating inside and your laptop needs cleaning,
  
• GPU is faulty.

So something from 1 and 3, because I recently cleaned my laptop from dust with replacement of thermal paste and thermal pads
