Hoi4 for low end pcs thread

Have a potato Pc for playing hoi4? Then you should go and fuc, just kidding. Go to this link and install this https://www.moddb.com/mods/graphicssuperlow youll need the mod to go along with it and it might need a certen version

Second thing to do is to go to your doucments folder, go to paradox interactive, and then go to hoi4. Go to settings and make sure to open it with note pad if it isnt already.

It should look like this

Then make sure to add the resolution to size={
x=1280
y=720
and
min_gui={
x=1280
y=720
Gui scale is up to you, as it can cause lag but it will make everything look smaller witch is unplayable.

Sooooo by this point you have done this but the game is still running in low Fps? Heres a copule of steps
1. Make sure to close all applocations, don't even dream about streaming the game.
2 For windows users make sure to go to Power options and select (High performence)
3 Go to task manager, go to details, and go to hoi4, right click it and click priority, select real time or high.
4 Is your cpu, gpu, ram, overclocked? It can help alot but i wouldnt recomend it to Laptop users.
5 Make sure to also install mods witch can lower the amount of divisions. Since you could be at war with the Soviets and they could have thousands and can lag your game out

Yes, but on that page i think theirs even newer versions, but i used it with the lastest one and it worked for me with some issues

The newest files there are from 2017-07-17 and version 1.4.2 was released on 2017-08-21 so therefore my previous statement is correct.

True but i would even recomend to use older versions since my f2ps has been higher on them as well
