When i starting the game launcher i have error - Javascript error occured in the main process

I don't know how to fix it, I tried everything, deleted mods from the workshop and reinstalled the game, and in general cleaned all the files with the game, installed a new version of Java, nothing worked, it all happened when I broke my computer monitor and had to switch to notebook. So, can anyone know or have encountered the same problem will help? Maybe the problem is in old drivers? Help

i have the same problem over 3 weeks, still i dont know what causes it. I reinstalled the HOI4, Steam and all the mods. Nothing worked

I found out that you can run the game by the exe on the HOI4 folders. But this way you cant use any mods.

I have the same issue. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled...same issue...

I cannot believe that this is not a widespread issue.

same problem tryed sever things , no dice game does not start , java script error

I found the solution guys. First delete "Paradox Launcher" both in %localappdata% and %appdata% (Press windows key + R to open and type) and then reinstall HOI4 and all the DLC's. That should be it.

Did what Doggo suggested and no dice. I friggin hate Steam

-did you try the obvious and try to reinstall JAVA? since you get a javascript error?

-try to delete mydocuments/paradox/heartsofiron4 folder (savegame backups!)
-reinstall runtimes
-try to launch with disabled antivirus
