BTW, the group is growing. We have a solid team of folks who REALLY like to play HoI4 and other paradox games. On the top of my head, I count 6 or 7 games currently running between assorted members at various times.

Belgium has swallowed Netherlands in prep for the German invasion, British Raj and China (me) are preparing to take on Russia, and the chinese democratic revolution ended quickly with the emperor returning to power. Look at that little guy.

One of the newer joiners and myself have been playing as Poland and Romania on a non-historical game. What a freaking nutty experience.

First, Germany decided to be relatively peaceful and focused on economic stuff. That gave Poland and Romania time to build up and gobble up a few of our neighbors. By late 1938, Germany finally annexed Austria and started carving up Europe. By this time, we had increased world tension, especially Romania as it run around the Balkans.

I (Poland) tried to justify war against Latvia but the UK guaranteed them. I called off the justiification because I wasn't ready for a war with the allies. Instead, USSR attacked Latvia and Estonia. Suddenly it was USSR vs Allies. Germany just sat there laughing.

France never joined the Allies, instead joining in a nordic alliance with Norway, Sweeden, Finland, and Denmark. Germany eventually conquered France but has been constantly dealing with invasions from the allies who they are also at war with. Meanwhile, the Soviets were sitting nice and safe since the Allies decided they weren't worth the effort.

Soviets decided to invade our Balkan Alliance. We ALMOSt lost. I'm talking like, 1 provice from total defeat. They were outside mine and Romania's capital. However, we fought a defensive attrition war. Every province costed tens, sometimes hundreds of thousands of soviet lives. I organized my divisions into 40 width with plenty of anti tank and artillery. The AT was absolutely devastating on their armor. Within a year, nary a piece of soviet armor remained.

After about 3 years of just trying to survive the USSR attack, we had finally drained their forces to a dangerous level. Meanwhile, Germany was still dealing with constant battle in europe with the UK and Belgium of all people. We began to push back on the USSR. It took a year but, Polish troops finally entered Moscow. When Japan declared war on them, it was the last nail in the coffin. The war soon ended and the Balkans Alliance gobbled up the former soviets.

Thanks to a focus, Romania then attacked Greece (who had also allied with the Nordic countries). The allies didnt care so we swallowed the Nordic alliance as well.

We may or may not continue that game but, I think we've won. What an awesome game it was.

If you are looking for a longterm group that plays games over multiple days and sometimes weeks, look no further. :)

This place is quite fun to hang around, there is a large enough amount of people for a multiplayer game to be interesting and ther eare other games that are played aswell. I am looking forward to maybe even having a 10 player game! 5 outta 5

I'm normally around on the server at European daytime hours; @ me on the discord if you want a game.

I think I should point out that we normally only do small coop games against the ai. I think I'm one of the only people that likes pvp games, so it's the wrong server if you are looking for that. Maybe at some point I'll see if I can organise one but like I said I don't think anyone else is interested at the moment so no promises.

Also I'm happy to teach new players as long as they are patient and preferably have a mic.
