Saves keep getting corrupted, usually after '41-'42

For some reason my ironman saves keep getting corrupted. I'll click load game and select my ironman saves, and before the loading bar even pops up my game crashes to desktop. This usually happens when the game has progressed past '41 or '42, and I'm really tired of it. I've lost 3 ironman germany games and 1 ironman USA game to this. It's also happened on multiple devices, both my steam deck and my laptop as well as my brand new desktop. Anyone got any ideas if there's a way to fix the save files, or prevent this issue in the future?

I've got the same issue here and it doesn't matter if I use mods or not. Would be great to get a hint for a solution.
In the log-files, I found some errors and it looked like the game couldn't get the actual date of the save game. Getting the date of the save game is one of the first steps, before loading the events and other stuff, so it would make sense, that this could be the issue and causing the game to crash right away.
And in the very first moment I found an article where someone stated it happens when you save your game to the cloud ( a sync issue so to speak), but in my case it also happend when I stored my save game locally. :/
I also lost 3 ironman save games because of this. It's pretty annoying :(

I think I solved my issue, haven't had problems in a while. I saw in my crash logs it was giving me mod errors even though I had a vanilla playset loaded in the launcher, so I just went through and unsubscribed from every mod in the workshop and deleted all files in my "mod" folder in the hoi4 folder. Not sure if that'll help you at all, but I think my issue is resolved.

Alright. For me, the workaround form the other discussion helped. And since then I also didn't experienced any further crash. :)
