Germany is ♥♥♥♥ right now. I can't even micro the spanish civil war now because theres too much stuff happening in germany which i need to focus instead of helping franco's ass
Honestly I now just cancel them immediately and go for recovering economy focuses

The recovering economy side is honestly just better. You theoretically get less factories but removing the Eco of Conquest mechanics (and all the civgoods it requires) boosts you so much. The reward of achieved Auturky is just kinda pathetic. To get it Germany has to own or have a subject own so many things that you'll only ever get it after having already won, and by that point it's completely useless. Which is pretty realistic ig.

imho keep the MEFO & use all the Price Control Measures & get it down to -35% Consumer. Use the "DAM" province (Westfallen & Hessen) bonuses to build faster. (Rhine focus adds 1 more) Use the NEW Bormann & Todt focuses for even more Industry bonuses (its overpowered imho) Need PP management though. MEFO will start to "get up there" but it will be Danzig soon if managed right. Did a few runs. Gets better all the time.

Yea i played a few rounds as germany now and i found the four year plan route to be just simply worse and way too much effort to play around, if you can just...go with the other route, don't have to pay attention to it and have a stronger economy.

UPDATE : did the other (Economy) non-historical route as per your request few times.
Both updated to summer '37 right after Anschluss...

HISTORICAL : 12 more Civs & Mils
HISTORICAL : 1.75 complete projects. (about to start 2nd project non-historical)
HISTORICAL : 3 Inner Circle & 3 Bonus Focus. (about to start 3rd Chancellor non-historical)

But here lies the difference so far for me ..

HISTORICAL : MEFO bill still @ -15% (from -35%)
NON-HISTORICAL : RECOVERING ECONOMY @ 30% (from *75%) *correct me if I am wrong.

I will keep playing both to Danzig & see if Non-Historical picks up the pace
to shorten the gap. I am though , still leaning towards Historical b/c all systems go.

*Production roughly the same @ 12 Fighters (Basic Upgraded) @ 5 per week.

In non historical, you remove the consumer good completely
