Why aa guns on my troops are not shoting down planes ?

My units are getting "cassed" to death and the aa in them can't shoot down a single plane ? What is going on here ?

A support anti-air is all you need after that using the air view history graph will show how many of their CAS are getting shot down whether from fighters or from anti-air.

I filled up all the support slots so i just used them as units inside the template, but still when they were being attacked in the air i didn't see any planes getting shot down.

From wiki: ... the divisional AA (again using the divisions' average) has a 7% chance to shoot down a portion of the attacking planes. When it does, it can shoot down a fraction of attacking planes up to 0.5% × (air attack).

7% means that only in 1 of 14 land battles with CAS support, airplanes are shot down. It is therefore quite normal not to see losses if there are only one or few land battles in an air zone.

The damage protection from AA is always active, -75% damage at 10.8 AA is always worth it in my opinion, if the enemy has CAS.
