Why hasn't Paradox made a modern political wargame?

Think of it as a mix between HOi4, Crusader Kings and Victoria.

The RPG elements from Crusader Kings.
The building from victoria, and the war part from Hoi.

Mix it togheter, and make a rival to Eversims Geo political simulator 5.

I think paradox whould make an exelent game, a modern realistic political game.

Maybe because there really isn't as much interest for it that you believe there is. Tons of work for not much money doesn't make good business sense. Don't get me wrong. I think everyone should get the game they want. Other developers like Battlefront have made modern warfare games. Its a small niche compared to something like WWII in my opinion.

It technically isn't a Paradox game since they only published it.

EU5 is basically a mix of paradox games.
Hoi isn't mixed into it. If EU5 succeeds, expect more such mixes.

Just checked and it wasnt even developed by Paradox, so no they didnt make it. Dont get how people still dont understand that publishing and developing is completely different lmao

I am pretty sure they started developing a Cold War game, but gave up on it early on...

Would love to see a modern setting Paradox game, there are very few geo political games with modern setting and they are all janky garbage, for example all the stuff Eversim makes. It would be nice to have a professional level game by Paradox, but yea its likely to small an audience for them to ever do it.
