Help regarding Anarchist Spain world conquest, any advice?
Hello, I am attempting an Ironman Anarchist Spain world conquest since as far as I am aware, they have a mechanic that allows them to core (eventually) any territory they take, therefore making them the state with the greatest possible core territory of them all.

However, despite all my attempts I have never suceeded, and have grown bored of just triying by myself. So, any advice? Also, if there is a more recent state in HOI4 that can become as big as them, I would appreciate the hint.

In short it's;
Core the south of France to get lots of Aluminum and some Iron.
Core Turkey to get lots of Chromium.
Core Malaya to get loads of Rubber and Tungsten.
Core some part of India or China for infinite manpower.
Core Iran for Oil.

-Take on Portugal as soon as possible.
-Befriend Japan and do most of the work in the war against China, having a powerfull Japan help a lot to weaken the Allied and getting Chineses lands is the best for Manpower.
-You need to chose if you want to be enemy with the Axis or the Allied.
-Being enemy with the Allied is the easiest, you will be able to let the Reich do almost all the defensive work. Do not ally yourself with any side, it will make the following war a lot more easy.
-Let the Axis is tank the Allied assault and make sure you have enouth score to get the south of France and the Yorkshire in England (for the ressources and to get an easy way to take the island when you attack the Axis.)
-With your massive manpower from China it will be easy for you to do well even against more powerfull country.
-Make sure the Allied are down before the Reich attack the Soviet, because you will need to use the Soviet to take down the Reich. Do not ally the Soviet, just let them fight with the Reich at the same time as you do. Make sure the Axis is down before the Soviet get their magical buff and Steamroll the war.
-After this you should rush the war against the Soviet to prevent them from building too much forces, and you should win this war easily.

-When you're at war against the Allied you should always have an anti air in all your division due to the insane number of plane they have.
-Dont build a navy, just build submarine to take down convoy.
-Take down the British and US navy with plane, it's the most cost efficient.
-Core states with lots of manpower early on then just focus on place with resources.
-Use your lands in China to take India and weaken the UK easily.

I see; for this strategy to be easiest to achieve, should I play with historical focuses, or is optional?

Historical focus make things easier as you can predict what the AI will do and when.
But you will have to make the most out of all the war you can predict.

If you want to play without historical focus things get harder to planify, but the game can be easy if France do not get in the allied faction.

Whatever you chose the aim is still to core states with lots of ressources, like Malaya, as soon as possible.

I see, good points. Now, regarding construction: since I need to have as much equipment as posible (due to both the civil war as well as the need to rush the conquests), do you think it is best to immediatly start building Military factories from day one, or should I build infrastructure and civilian factories first? If so, when should I switch the focus from the latter to the former?

Also, due to Spain low population, do you think that it is best to have fewer, well equipment Infantry divs with field hospitals, supply, recon, engineer and singnal support companies, or more numerous, minimally equipment divs with just artillery and enginner support companies?

For the early game having some more civilian would be a major boost, and you should be able to buy weapon with the market by using these civ, if you lack equipment.

If you think you'll have a hard time for the civil war you can always build a defensive line with lvl 1 or 2 fort before the start of the war. It can help you weaken the enemy before you encircle them.

The population issue early on can be dealt with by being cautious and by having division with good gear.
The hospital is great to save manpower, but also to keep highter level division which in turn reduce your loss.
The engineer is basicaly vital.
But the other give too little gain compared to their cost early on. It would be better to have arty or anti tank instead.
As long as you encricle the enemy you should be able to win without much effort.

If i remember correctly for my world conquest my "basic" division were 18 infantry, 2 arty, 1 anti air, 1 anti tank. Plus engineer, field hospital, flamethrower, reco, logistic as support.
Using a flamethrower light tank to get more entranchement and fuel reserve help quite a bit.

Thank you, this was just what I needed.
