They also defend UK better.
Before new patch I could invade them without any problems, now they send 4-6 decent divisions to each port.
AI is still bad at naval warfare though.
if ai dont have a dangerous border with anyone, then they going to direct most divisions to the ongoing war's (wars') frontline and with all supplies needed for both side, neither going to go anywhere. and if its a narrow front, the worse. because less tiles, less tiles means more divs per tile.
this s when you need to build railroads and infastructure like maniac. because if you try to pull out troops to ease supply issue, you ll have less amount of divisions on a front and enemy AI will see this as opportunity to break your lines and constantly attack regardless of manpower and equipment. since losing ground is out of question, only thing you can do
-building tons of railroad/infa + motorize all hubs. (needs lotta trucks, trains and civ)(air superiority is also important to reduce dmg to railroads)
-having quality/less divs (preferably logistic company) compared lotta weaker divs. (tho not every country's production can do this, especially minors)
-ideally, In a perfect world, both.
if you can deal with supply issue then it doesnt matter how many divs they stack, they ll be out of supply, naturally out of org. (because i havent see ai builds hubs/railroads) while you can sustain fight as long as you want.
it sounds like a mega powerful axis in your campaign. i mean i seen germany deployed 1k divs before but i never seen an axis including germany+ussr+japan+china+probably vichy? all the world on your doorstep.
