Ok
The chances are very high we're getting an Asia/Pacific War rework in the next DLC after this India/Middle East one
Not a rant mate those are hard facts if you can’t see how the Chinese, Japanese or even American focus tree don’t stand up to other major nations then you’re blind.
Good to see that an Asia rework seems to be on the cards after the next DLC. That region really needs one. Hopefully the USA also gets a facelift the last time someone touched their tree was during MtG.
China GG's by forcing Japan into a non-aggression pact using Diplomatic Pressure.
Japan GG's by just simply conquering China.
USA GG's by rushing The Giant Wakes.
If you can't see how little variety, and complexity Japan, China and USA's focus tree lack in comparison to Spain, Germany etc. then you are the blind one, just look at the tree size.
USA for example, already have all ideologies covered. Same with Japan, with China being split into different countries. Plenty of different options to take and different paths to take. Each having political branches as well as economic and militaristic ones.
China being the most unique due to being split into different countries (the warlords). Communist China and Nationalist China being the main ones.
There is literally no reason to update any of their focus trees until every other nation in the game has gotten their own unique one. All of them are plenty replayable, gives enough options to satisfy the majority and are top tier in the power rankings if minmaxing is the playstyle of choice.
This is coming from someone who mainly plays Nationalist China, USA and Sweden.
China's only alternate path, is to reunify period. There is no other path, you reunify and become a democracy. No path to join Japan/go fascist, no path to flip everything upside down and go communist for example.
China's tree has zero depth, it shares 1/3 of the tree with manchukuo and commie china. That in of itself is just terrible, just look at it, look. 'China is unique because it's split into warlords', no, the warlord system suck, the warlord trees suck, it's all really bad, there is no engagement, the mechanics are broken.
If they would put the same quality that they are putting into these newer trees, mechanics, decisions etc. into an Asia rework, then the region would be 100% more fun to play.
Shouldn't you be complaining about USSR then which has one of the biggest focus trees in the game, yet is limited to only communist or non-aligned?
As I said, I wouldn't be against updating any focus trees, but there's plenty of other nations who have yet to recieved their own. They should prioritize those countries first so every nation has its own focus tree, no matter how small they are. Asian countries are good enough already.
