What is the best youtube guide for starting out?
Title, is there a good video or series of videos I can check out? Started playing the tutorial and there is an awful lot of complexity involved.

Oh boy, you're in for a time.

Feedback Gaming, Bittersteel, and TommyKay are the Youtubers I can think of off the top of my head who are good at the game and do tutorial content.

Honestly the game isn't hard to get into or grasp. You will learn new things and master things later on. For me, I did not get it first time I bought it, I got a refund. I think at that time I was not ready for the game and got to overwhelmed.

I think my issue looking back was going straight into playing German, kind of a mistake. There is a lot going on and I was trying to learn it all at once and was overwhelmed.

When I came back the second time, I played Australia, which they are off on the corner nothing to worry about early on. This allowed me to mess around with the UI a lot, play around with other things and familiarize myself with a lot, without the worry of battling early on. By 1939 Italy will rage a war in Africa and you will have the opportunity to help out the fighting there, with UK being the big puncher there. You can sideline and learn some tactics in Africa. Then by 1941 after Japan attack on Pearl, you should be ready to get in a navy war and some island wars.

These recommendations for creators are, lets just say, aimed toward a younger audience.

If OP finds themselves looking for something more straight-forward, mature and focused on mechanics, they might want to try the channels like Hygge Gaming, or my new favorite rising star; Carthage Studios

Discussions Rules and Guidelines
