validating forever?

so after the upteenth time having to re-redownload hoi4 (it uninstalls itself like once a week,dont ask me why),ive noticed that each time the "Validating" time only grows. tonight its been over an hour and going at validating (currently at ~1/4 bar progress). how do i fix this validation issue,or speed it up? can i even fix this? am i just doomed to wait exponentially longer times each time the game deletes itself for its own amusements?

That sounds like something to ask Steam support. It really should not behave that way, and they might have the quickest insight on what could be causing it.

checked on the steam support,and cleared download cache. is stopped validating for now,thank you! ill hopefully remember when it inevitably does this again.

i basically have the same problem and i even deleted the download cache and one i come back to it being at 92 percent and then for now reason it just stops download and restarts the update
