road to 56 template
I am using a template that has artillery, engineer, and anti-air support. Two rows of 4 for infantry and one artillery on the third row. 41.1 organization.. this is my main line.. but compared to the PC player, my green bar, I think is my organization line, runs out immediately during battle. While their green line never moves. Any suggestions? I am in the civil war with Portugal.

8/1s aren’t a bad template. It’s a good all-rounder. But keep in mind that on average infantry is better for defending rather than attacking. 1:1 an infantry division is going to entrench and beat an equal division. You need to have: planning bonuses, division experience, stockpiled equipment, superior numbers, air support, better equipment/research, robust supply lines, and a good doctrine to push with infantry.

What doctrine are you using? What is the enemy using? What terrain are you fighting in? All can influence how well you fight.
Civil wars are hard, I don’t know about RT56’s Portugal. Click on the red combat bubbles and see what’s influencing your attack values. If your divisions are out of equipment, stop attacking and build up. If some are inexperienced, pull them off the frontline and train them. If you’re fighting in poor terrain or in an area with no supply, try to fight somewhere else or build up infrastructure/supply hubs.

thanks for the info. I will take a look. I used to be better at this game but took a long time off and just started playing again. I forgot about clicking the red bubble. At the time I did not have a clear doctrine, and I am unsure how to see what the enemy is using. I will have to google all of this and relearn. thanks again for the info.
9/1s with engineers, support arty, cav recon, support anti air, support anti tank.
