My HOI4 refuses to launch

when i launch hoi4 the game just closes itself for no reason. can i somehow fix this without reinstalling the game and deleting all my files/mods

manually install/reinstall the paradox launcher and then start the game through steam. it worked for me

uninstall Paradox Launcher v2
download https://www.paradoxinteractive.com/our-games/launcher paradox-launcher-installer-2024_11.msi

Here's what helped me:
1. Uninstalled Paradox Launcher through the control panel.

2. Deleted all contents in the folders:
…\AppData\Local\Paradox Interactive
…\AppData\Local\Programs\Paradox Interactive
…\AppData\Roaming\Paradox Interactive
…\AppData\Roaming\paradox-launcher-v2
(the folders themselves were added to exceptions in the antivirus just in case)

3. Replaced the paradox-launcher-installer-2024_12 file in
…\Steam\steamapps\common\Hearts of Iron IV with paradox-launcher-installer-2024_11
paradox-launcher-installer-2024_11 downloaded from https://www.paradoxinteractive.com/our-games/launcher

After these steps, Paradox launcher began to launch both through the shortcut and through Steam
