HOI4 launcher Failed "Database error"

There is a error message ongoing recently. Even I re-install the whole game and delete the files in Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV, still cannot solve.
I have unsubscribed all mods and tested in vanilla already
If I launch the game through the launcher, it will crash toward desktop after selecting a country and start game before getting into the game map.

Error message
"Database error"
Database migration failed. Most likely, your database file has been affected by newer version of the launcher. Remove / rename the file 'C\Users\XXXXX\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Heart of Iron IV\launcher-v2.sqlite' and try again

Tried but failed.

Anyone experiencing it? The whole game is broken now if launch through the launcher.

that happened to me yesterday, my security program came up and asked to block it , said there was ransomware with that file. i was able to resume the last game but not able to switch countries. i haven't installed yet but next step will be after that i will get my security program to allow changes from paradox.

I had that problem as well, I tried to do something with files as it suggested, but it didn't work.

I get it every time I log in. First time around I did as it said and removed the launcher sqlite file and game ran ok. After that I just hit the OK button when the message came up and game still ran ok. In fact, I`m playing right now.

I did what the initial message said (just now try to rename it). Just like before, The message didn't appear when launcher launched, but still crashed after selecting a country to start.

I made all the Stream and Paradox file into virus protection exception list. Same result, didn't work.

Well, maybe I was a bit presumptious because now I cannot launch the game either. It crashes after selecting country.

Well, I have HoI4 back up and running by going to my anti virus and unblocking ransome ware in users/documents. Don`t know if this is a wise move or not

Happening to me right now. If I remove or rename the launcher-v2.sqlite file the launcher is fine the first time I launch it, if I launch it a second time I get the same error again

I'm getting the same error and deleting/renaming the file doesn't seem to solve anything.

Someone on the game sub reddit has the same issue (along with me) removing the file did nothing, if anything it broke all of the mods i got, did a fresh reinstall on the game, it worked the first time but when i wanted to get the mods i subbed to back it says it was missing some trace file and in the installed mods section it has everything i was subbed to still even though i wasn't and clearing cache doesn't work it ends up failing

God I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate the new launcher it's literally preventing me for playing the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game what the ♥♥♥♥ paradox

Nope did nothing, if anything i can't even get mods to install now, nothing shows up in the mods section on the launcher other than the error message, doing a fresh reinstall for the second time to see if it does anything, and nope same issue
