Germany won't invade France?

50 hours into the game watched some tutorials. I am using an odd tactic of making France Fascist, as I think it is the fastest way to get rid of all of the debuffs, and I got the focus that makes fascist Spain my ally, while Romania joined us too.

And a weird situation happened: Germany just don't invade us like what is supposed to happen (I didn't get the focus of joining Axis), even when Soviet Union is already in war with them. Instead, they are even buying our old guns (as I remember, some Allies did this also).

It is just funny to watch the whole world desperately fighting each other, while I am chilling in the middle of the battlefield like nothing happened.

It's more than likely that being the same government gave you enough "friendliness" with Germany that they didn't trigger war, that or you being allied with Spain and Romania made you too unappealing of a target combined with that. You could probably push it and ally with them.

Playing ahistorical with historical settings will cause the AI to spiral into more ahistorical things, as another example if you play Czechoslovakia and refuse any demands from Germany and hold out then Poland will be invaded by the USSR.

I have no idea if the AI for Germany will ever manually do the focus to get a free wargoal with you considering it's always bypassed normally but at least you get a warning if that ever does happen.

I've seen it as czechoslovakia that germany wont invade poland because they lack the manpower requirement when they lost a good chunk of it fighting for sudetenland

While this is true, in my experience with the the fort focuses you get level 7 forts along the Sudetenland and they will refuse to attack so they end up staring at your forces.

Which is odd, because rail artillery and fortress buster make short work of even the Maginot. I'm thinking a level 7 fort would be toast.
