You can have the gassy guy crash or not, and the classy lass vanish or not. If you increase air safety (via decision), you can guarantee the bag of hydrogen doesn't expand - yet. It is not forced to make one happen. They can both fail, as they seem to in most games.
Too bad this is not available for HoI4. Or have I overlooked something?
You can still do this, though it takes a bit of detective work. The focus (or decision, or event) that triggers the event you want to change of course names the triggered event. Often the 1st part of the event name is the same as the file name that the code for the event is in. IIRC, all event files are in a folder called events. So once you know the name of the event you want to modify, it is fairly easy to find it.
Earheart is entirely a coin toss; I have her survive in historical mode quite regularly though.
Amelia can survive and later she can become one of your ace pilots.
