Can't make transport planes

everywhere online you can just build them off start but they don't appear in the menu to manufacture stuff

Its a research now, most major nations start with them researched but others do not; It must be researched

Fastest way to check would be to open the air research tab and look if you have them unlocked or need to research them.

It is like naval invasion tech, lol.

Some countries that have no air research finished at all probably do not have the plane researched as Immortalis pointed out.

I don't have them unlocked and they aren't in the research page either

Should be Small, medium, large, transport, then the plane parts.

Some countries start with it unlocked if their aviation tech is high enough, others like Brazil have to research it.

If you do not see it at all, could it be a mod problem? With the launcher load a playset that has no mods.

Sounds like wonky things are happening if you don't have the BBA expansion for the plane designer to research them, yet at the same time transport planes are supposed to be universally available for all countries without this DLC.

No but I think I know what the problem is, the new patch introduced new types of transport planes and disabled the old one without DLC by accident.

You can try reverting to patch 1.14 or wait for an update in the future.

ok thanks and btw are the DLC's worth it? They seem interesting but I don't know if I wanna spend 20 bucks each on them.

The subscription costs $10 a month for everything if you want to try everything out, alternatively you can get any of the older DLCs when on sale for a much cheaper price sometimes outside of Steam, I mean we had the Black Friday sale a little while ago.

With the DLC you can get a lot of new focus trees and mechanics to have more control over how you want to play but you also get a lot more busywork with some of the DLCs which can a little annoying to deal with.

I figure if I'm gonna buy DLC I'll just drop a hundred dollars and buy the bundle but will the new DLC be added to it?

The latest DLC is still too new to be added to the bundle, and is instead part of the expansion pass for the next 2 DLCs (a country pack for the middle east and India, and a more unit models pack) which haven't been released yet.
