Ah yes, the nation with majority 70 day focuses that give you bonus to 1 Research that isn't even aligned with the designer functions as the tree hasn't been touched since it was initially released, not to mention that you cap your industry by '40 due to highly restricted building capacity, while the Soviet Union can utterly roll you in terms of industrial might by '41. Definitely doesn't need an update.
All pre-NSB nations need an update, desperately. Commonwealth being the top of the totem pole with Japan lumped there too. US by itself is playable, but it still heavily shows just how dull their tree is where it offers no real choice, especially when you compare it to Soviets and now the Germany tree.
But to answer the question of the OP, I'd be genuinely shocked to see US/Japan/Commonwealth get updates in the next two years minimum. We have gotten the only major nation update for the following year, they'll be focusing more on the minor DLCs to pat out the Expansion Pack. They'll probably start development for one of the big three towards the end of next year, my guess would be UK and the Commonwealth as the Belgium/Congo system seems to be the prototype for what they imagine could work also for the Commonwealth. So if we get lucky, we might see UK in '26, followed by whatever random nations to pat out that Expansion Pack, then '27 will hopefully be China/Japan, '28 US.
