Unlocking additional slots within the first couple of years means you have "lost" 3-4 techs at most.
Brazil is neither the first nor the only country to be in this situation
I could say COlombia should have more than 2 reseach slots too, but that's my passionate heart talking. My objective heart knows that 2 slots is fair as COlombia didn't have either a lot of inventors or help from the state to fund the projects of those few (one of them is Carlos Albán, the true forefather of the Blimps, he gave to von Zeppelin the blueprints to build the blimps we know as a farewell gift before enlisting as a Conservative Party Military Officer in the thousand days, 1901-1903)
be wary of the passion but do not get comfy with the reality either.
You just cant play the game with only 2 focus. Only option is make infantry, justify until US borders and conquer him. I´m trying to do different but dont have the research for that. Not only that you cant even make naval, tanks or planes, need to go to focus tree and lost and entire year for that.
Yes it is a game. BUT it is a HISTORICAL grand strategy game
So conquering the whole of South and North America as Brazil doesn’t count as “being able to do a lot of things”?!?
I understand that you want your nation to be overpowered by Brazil in 1936 simply did not have the industrial development (nor, for that matter, the political stability) to be on par with European powers.
Beside, even when you have 5 or 6 research slots you are hard pressed to keep up with everything that you could research. The entire point of the system is having to choose what to prioritise. For example, as Germany or the USSR researching naval tech isn’t exactly a priority.
You talk about naval germany, but you are wrong. Germany had the best submarine of his time.
Not as flashy as Midway but still extremely important. US Submarines were very effective at doing their job, far better than the Axis did.
Honestly this thread shows how TOA has brought out of the woodwork a lot of South American fanboys who don't actually know that much about WWII History and are now all butthurt that their nations in the game aren't overpowered enough (they actually are pretty overpowered as is rn but they won't admit it)
