Better Old Focus Trees DLC | When?

Some speculation is that with the older DLCs being added to the base game Paradox will no longer have to work around a split base and can update those countries with ease.

I know. I just pray, that it's like that, and we will get a real dlcs for german+japan and others. A small update would not be enough.

It's so great to play russia, italy and so on but japan? Uhh, and germany is not much better. And the Focus trees of hungary, or bulgaria ends in 1942, then the A.i has reaearched all focuses, and just go on air production or whatever

Some outdated focus tree limits a lot.

Do I like paying people for their work? Not really. But I'm sure your employer doesn't like paying your wages either.
It's an honest transaction, you don't need to like it, just accept that it is perfectly normal for people to be payed for the work they do

This. And a dlc would fix way more, updates may help minors like romania, or hungary, but not for japan or germany, there is to much to do

Paradox has been paid likely hundreds of millions of dollars for HOI4 by now just on the base game cost.

Of course, this is Paradox so their entire company is built around paywalls and DLC made by restricting what should be core features.

I like the fact some people think there is something "should be core features". In fact they can remove tanks from "core features" and what you gonna do about it? their game - their rules. Dont want to buy tanks - play without them or dont play at all.

Clearly the Paradox strategy hasn't been working out for them lately otherwise they wouldn't needed to have panic delayed prison architect 2, vic 3's DLC, their sims rip-off, skylines 2 DLC in the last few months.

paradox is a great and friendly company which makes a positive tolerant atmosphere in their enjoyable games communities. i have other games in which both the mods the devs and community is extremely intolerant of anything non woke and passive aggressive and toxic and attacking people, yeah im talking about frontier and elite dangerous. i have a lot of stories to tell about them but this is not the place.

paradox on the other hand is a breath of fresh air. the positivity and relaxed atmosphere and even the discussion of history and games reflecting our common experience no matter what side people are on are a breath of fresh air for me after the trauma of playing elite dangerous and being abused by mods and devs and jaded stalker types in games.

dont know where im going with this but i think paradox deserves the money for making people happy. all their games i played are very addictive and good time fillers for me and well made, great modding community and this is what i want and need from a game dev, if i pay money for a dlc, that is how business works, they sell something people want, no agenda. hope it stays that way
