italy constantly invading switzerland on historical.

So I just started playing hoi4 again probably a year ago I last played so I've missed quite a few updates. Italy will constantly declare on switzerland around the same time I invade france as germany, causing switzerland to join the allies and screwing up my front. Why does this happend? Playing on historical following historical focuses.

I'm having the same problem I'm microing the French front and then I zoom out and the swiss are half way to Berlin

Have you switched Switzerland to historical AI? Them specifically, not just the generic "historical".

I used to get all sorts of weird Swiss shenanigans when their DLC appeared but switching their AI stopped it.

The real question is why, as Germany, do you have Italy as allied?

This game is so old that everyone knows Italy is just there to screw Germany...

The only intelligent move is as soon as Anschluss happen, is to get Italy,,, takes 2 minutes to do and save most future plans.

you literally need 6 division to guard danish, swiss and luxemburg border to prevent it, it's not bad 😐
