Non. Stop supporting their business model. It’s as parasitic and anti-consumer as EA. Unless you want their games to turn even more decisively into the Sims 4. They are heavily going in that direction. If you don’t want to support the wider move in the gaming industry where you pay for shell games - games that are purposely barren, stripped down and empty - and to get a properly fleshed out game you must pay 100s of pounds in DLC, then don’t.

Whichever you want except the latest one ToA, throw that money into the toilet and it's a better investment

Here is my personal description of each DLC and why you might want one of them. (Im biased I know, but I just want you to make the right decision for yourself) ^^

Trial of Allegiance: Adds Focus Trees for Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay (Purchase if you want to play in that region with those countries)

Arms Against Tryanny: Adds International Market & Military Industrial Organization Mechanics as well as Focus Trees for Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway and Iceland (If you want more peace time mechanics and more action in northen europe then this would be for you)

Man the Guns: A completely rehauled Navy system with ship designer similar to the NSB Tank Designer, and a bunch of naval changes alongisde a new focus tree for USA, UK, Mexico, Netherlands, (so if you light democracy and boats, this one might be for you. (

You shouldn't buy any, they haven't made even a serviceable DLC since No Step Back, and even that was barely good.

Man The Guns would be my choice. Then Arms Against Tyranny. They add important game mechanics.

The latest DLC only adds focus trees so it's skippable.

Huh, I thought Together For Victory added the US UK focuses with the Netherlands & Mexico being in a more recent DLC.

I'll take that over microtransactions any day of the week.
