Germany tank templates?
Been struggling with supply with my tanks, I typically build 40 withd that has 8 tanks an 7 trucks with logistics an radio, for infantry I use 9/1, do you guys struggle with this too or am I making them too big or what? Tell me about your templates.

The big problem of the divisions in HOI4 is supply, keep in mind that there will be places with low supplies, and it will be difficult to remedy... there the large divisions that require a lot of supplies will be worthless, having a logistics company, leaders or doctrines Reducing consumption will be more beneficial than have a super division. The use of aviation and fighters to give you an advantage on the ground will be very important (hence planes with less than 800 km range are of little use in large regions "USSR, ASIA, AFRICA")... If you want to know how wide it is right now, how goal is: 25 (one more or less) for mountains and swamps, 30 (one more or less) for forests and jungles, 35 (one more or less) for plains, deserts, hills.

An example: Germany with great doctrine battle plan infiltration branch, attack division: 16 infantry battalions on foot, 2 medium Pz battalions at 4 km hour armor +14 between 80 and 110 armor, with type I medium cannon, a break through 70 minimum (durability +90), medium flamethrower PZ company, cavalry recon company, ART company, AA company, logistics company... There you have a large tough attack division, with a decent attack, little consumer of supplies, and relatively cheap ...it is used to break the front, to exploit the gap it uses motorized infantry divisions (to occupy by speed and maintain until the arrival of the strong and slow units).

Hmm so what your saying is, add tanks to my front line infantry templates?

Normally we all use one type of division to attack and another to defend, to attack you should have high breakthrouht, to defend only defense, so you need tanks if you want to use an attack type of division (otherwise they will be weak)... if you use infantry with tanks, it will make the division much cheaper and you will be able to put good armor on the tank and a good cannon with very good durability, without the price being high (for having 4 KMS of speed)... if you try to make tanks that run or they will be very expensive , or low armor or some failure of this type.

Your test, make a few divisions of that type and attack (preferably using manual is better)... And other weaker infantry-only divisions without tanks to defend and accompany, remember to have some only motorized infantry to exploit the gaps, a lot of aviation... AND TEST....
