Paradox Launcher V2 Solved (for me at least :)

[Paladin]

1. go to
https://support.paradoxplaza.com/hc/en-us/articles/360010684620-The-Paradox-Launcher-v2-doesn-t-work
2. Follow the instructions ONLY for the folders and files to delete.
3. go to your game directory in my case "E:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Hearts of Iron IV" and delete or rename the "launcher-installer-windows.msi" file.
4. go and download the latest launcher from
https://www.paradoxinteractive.com/our-games/launcher
5. put the downloaded file to your game directory (see step 3) and rename it to
"launcher-installer-windows.msi"
6. open steam and launch the game with the launcher option marked.
7. you will get an error message about not able to access some files.
8. do not close the launcher and locate the path of the installed directory (I used task manager with right clicking on the launcher task and opened the directory the file is located.)
9. close the launcher
10. add an exception for the launcher in the ransomware section (windows 11 settings)
(in my case "C:\Users\Vassilis\AppData\Local\Programs\Paradox Interactive\launcher\launcher-v2.2024.4\Paradox Launcher.exe")
11. I was ready after all these :)
