Paratroopers , cant make order

I am a veteran , and have done hundreds of air drops , I know all the things I need to do and have tutored many people on air drops.
The usual , at war , have air superiority , have plenty of transports , only have paras in the division ,No support companies ,all regions superior air , transports not on a mission ,its a bug , I can not give orders I select the paras , and select start zone airport , then it gives me no option to select landing region , its missing !!! , I have not played in a year , so whats new ? , have validated files and restarted game
Only selecting one division at a time , airport not damaged , no reason for first time I can not air drop

What airfield are you trying to drop from? Can you post a screen cap of what you're seeing after selecting the airfield?

Agree, it's a bug. Even if it is not a bug, it is a bug that it doesn't give tool tips to say what is preventing the order.

Yeah it is a bugged unfinished unrefined clunky system, I had to delete my German play through after taking all of Europe because I could not para drop UK or anywhere else , no navy so you are land locked.
Templates had changed since I last played , had my usual with light armour recon , so deleted it from template, but still would not work after changing all templates in divisions , it may have created a big where it remembered what I had even though I changed it.
But as I say , I could not even set order second part no ability to select destination it disappeared

Ah yes it would of been but it was not very old , had a crack a few months ago, but may have been too old , thanks for nothing that , I did not think of that because everything else is running great

I have tried multiple airfields along the French coast , sorry game is deleted now so can't screen shot , will give it another test with Germany fresh game

Re what I see after selecting the airfield , nothing , when you click on destination it does not drop the arrows as normal , it just directs the planes to that flight zone.
It may be that I'd not played for a while and game has been updated since , quite likely as Immoritalis has said

When there is a new game version it always gives an exclamation mark next to an old save usually like mods have , I didn't get that

Nothing has really changed as far as plotting origin airfield and destination. Assuming you've selected a paradrop-capable army and clicked the paradrop order button, airfields with at least 50 transports will highlight blue. You click the airfield and then the region that can be dropped into will highlight green. If you weren't seeing that, then it's probably due to a bug as has been suggested. Recommend submitting a bug report at the Paradox HOI4 forum. Further info on how paradrop orders work in version 1.12 and 1.13 are explained here.

Yes as I say I am a veteran played 3900 hours , I have dropped many hundreds of paras over the years and tutored many people on the subject , I know all the requirements very well , it is a bug or its an old save that conflicted somehow , I will be trying a fresh start with Germany and will let you all know if its the fix , my game is missing completely stage two of paras , there is no deploy option to set landing orders

It was a corrupted save , It did not tell me as it usually would by putting an exclamation mark next to the save , so successfully para dropped UK
