How do i go back to an old version of hoi4?

I have a mod that I want to play, but it's on an old version. How do i go back to old versions?

RMB on game in library > properties > beta > click on "none" and choose older version from the list.

If the mod works is up in the air and based on the mod not having any incompatibilities. But you should hypothetically be able to choose any version since the start of the game via what Aluvard said.
