Question about Collaboration Government in China

I am playing as Japan, and currently fighting the United Front led by China (Japanese Manchukuo rebelled and joined the war as Qing China, and has capitulated by now)
I have 100% Collaboration Government in China, which has Manchukuo as core states, as well as all other warlords.
If China capitulates, will their compliance apply to other Chinese core states outside of their initial territory, meaning I will be able to release the Big China as Collaboration Goverment, or the compliance at its other territories will be low averaging on low overall compliance?

Actually, as I was continuing playing, China was taken over by Guanxi by an event, and all my carefully built collaboration with lots of investments just disappeared, which is kind of frustrating

That's a really good question and one I've never really considered, wondering if anybody who loves playing Japan has the answer? (I've a suspicion that collab will apply to all core states but not sure)

From my experience the Collaboration government applies only to cored owned territory.
Could be wrong tho.

Yeah, it would be interesting to check, but there is no practical way to do it, as it requires surrendering China and the warlords altogether, and the current system is broken.
Collaboration Government will work only if China is not in United Front, otherwise the warlords will takeover and render it useless - it just disappears even when they reform as China back again. Developers should have had an event of forming Wang Jingwei government during the war, this would have made sense
