Failed to load the map (solved)

Hi.

I´ve got a friend who has got a problem with an error that says "failed to load the map" he has this problem since trying to run the lord of the rings mod... and as i have vome to understand this error is caused by mods changing something in tha games map

But he problem is he doesnt have any mods active and it still does not work... we have tried clearing the cache, reinstalling tha game (while deleting every file that had something to do with hoi4), unsubscribing every mod... I even tried to send him my map folder to see if that would help...

for the record it did not.

is there any other solution that we might have missed ?
