Finally fix the volunteer supply bug!

I am playing as UdSSR right now in MP and can't supply my troops in Spain because "no connection to capital". After looking for answears in google I just found out that this is a bug which already persist for years! I'm really fed up with such bullsh*t, which just kills mood and save games. Fix your damn game!

I don't have La Résistance but noticed that if the republicans keep enough lands by helping them in day one of the war sending around 10k material of infantry, the bug won't be there.

Can you get the military access agreement via the diplomatic menu with the republicanian spaniards? I remember having problems with volunteer forces in the ethiopian-italian war, if I not do the military acess agreement with the italiens. Without it, I couldn't send the volunteers south through the ports. Maybe it helps to have the agreement.

Unfortunately it wasn't possible. Someone on reddit in an older post suggested, that Turkey and its strait would be the problem, but this doesn't make any sense. In the trade route overview I had a trade route over sea running along the entire sea border of spain. Also in older save games I've never asked for any military access, so this obviously must be some annoying bug. Of course you tried to find a workaround, thank you, but as I said it wasn't possible.

By the way, I lost the entire civil war just because I had no supplies for my equipment. This persisted during the entire civil war and still I managed to capture half of Spain for the socialists. Any idea how frustrating that feels afterwards? But now I know that the real workaround seems to be to just reload the save game. Wish I'd have know that before, the game is over already.

If you saved before the war starts, yeah maybe. But except if the devs patched something, loading during the war never changed something for me.

As I said, the only consistent way I found is to pause the game as soon as the war starts, and to send around 10k material of infantry. Because as soon as the bug is there, it can be really tricky to win if you didn't send the equipment.

But I'm pretty sure that the bug starts once the republicans loose too much lands. I made many tests for this war with the soviets and that's the only logical reason because the only scenario that made the bug dissapeared, was when the republicans took most of the country back.

And you also need to send few hundreads of trucks to have more supply for your troops.

Sorry but I ignored you because this entire idea of sending equipment beforehand is very stupid imo. I would rather reload the save game. Not only is this related to a lot of extra effort and loss, also the UdSSR does not have the equipment at the start of the game that could be sent into Spain. Yes, I could delete all of my units for the equipment but then I also can't send six voluntary troops. So this proposal of yours is out of my mind.

You can transform most of your units into cavalry. The amount of units you can send as volunteers depends on the overall number of divisions, not on the manpower deployed.

Interesting, I didn't know that yet! Seems like one can simply abuse this entire system in order to get the upper hand in e.g. the Spanish civil war, just spam divisions with only 1 bataillon. Personally I don't feel like doing that, because it's just foul play. To do this just to fix this one bug also seems like too much extra workaround, which just feels awkward. Thank you for your input, maybe someone else will appreciate it but if I'd ever encounter this bug again, I will just reload the save and flip my finger at the game.

Have anybody found a answer to the "no connection to capital" yet. Just a few days ago i played with USSR and sent volunteers to spain civil war. I read on reddit to just save and start again, problen fixed. And that fixed it. I started a new game since i downloaded several DLC since i wated to play extended tech tree. I know have the same problem again and restart game don`t help. So if u know how, please answer fast!

Hey bud. If it doesn't work, then it's due to mods and not because of the DLC's. I got all of them and every time this bug happens, I just reload the save, let some ingame days pass by and it works again. Maybe try waiting a little bit after reloading, then it should work.

Hey bud. If it doesn't work, then it's due to mods and not because of the DLC's. I got all of them and every time this bug happens, I just reload the save, let some ingame days pass by and it works again. Maybe try waiting a little bit after reloading, then it should work.

It started to work as it should after awhile. Not sure why, but Madrid was lost about same time it started to work. 5 Divisions in (very hard gamemod) and everything looks like mission impossible when Valencia fall to. Now 1 year later the spanish Civil war is won, almost all with the 5 divisions. since the spanish allied was almost wiped out. Well a little about my game, since im so happy right now LOL.
