You could just try mods, there's plenty of everything in there, from a historical WW2 (Black ICE is my favorite personally, but tbh I haven't tried other such mods) experience, through the Cold War (Cold War Iron Curtain), to modern day (Millenium Dawn)
There's also Road to 56 for alt-history WW2 and Kaiserreich for even more alt-history

There are none that is as detailed and as in-depth as HoI4, at least on the strategy genre. If you want something like HoI4, but more simple, try Age of Empires II, unfortunately it set during the middle ages. If you want something like HoI4 but more focused in the economy, try Victoria III. If you want something like HoI4 but longer, try EU4, while HoI4 ended after ww2 and only has historically one war. In EU4 you sort-of built your civilisation from nothing to something, you can built colonies, expand, but most importantly the game doesn't end after just one war, you can make as much war as you want. Those (VicIII and EU4) are however not a ww2 game. If you want ww2 simulator, I find that HoI4 is currently the best.

Sure depends what you want to be better. There aren't many that are continuous time, most are turn-based.

Teitoku no Ketsudan was fun. I like naval games, so a simplified game like HOI4 is not enough for me. I want to enjoy naval battles with animations, and whether bombs and torpedoes hit or not. Then again, HOI4 is too complicated in terms of systems and controls. It takes longer to learn the controls and understand the system than it does to play, and again, it takes too long to find mods and check them in-game. The Teitoku no Ketsudan series has none of these complications. Koei Tecmo should make Teitoku no Ketsudan V!

I took everyones respectable opinions, however, without ever aiming to insult anyone, I come to concusion that, HOI4 is for people that for the most part lack regular showers and social coctacts. The only positive about this game is fact that I can invade Taiwan.

Ps: this community is more protective about thier game more than war thunder players xd

War in the East seems to be bit overwhelming for many players - currently Im playing Decisive Campaigns Barbarossa and it seems to be pretty well balanced. Though one turn can still take quite a lot of time.

HOI4 is at the moment - subjective opinion - single best game in this subgenre. You cant get that complex game. But you can have other, very good games, that are not that complex and that focus on certain areas of warfare. I guess "hex tabletops" are a good direction. Though I really feel that investing time into HOI is just worth much more - you just have more things you can do in this game.

If you think that community is protective... well... maybe there is a reason behind this ;-)

Well there are several good WW2 games, some are real time and some are turn based.

Supreme Ruler Ultimate is pretty good RTS, can start before WW2 break out.
There are handful of Hearts of Iron Series you can look into, third series is not bad. But AoD and Darkest Hour is good.
War in the Pacific: Admiral Edition is a massive monster turn based game. That one, if you play the grand scenario, can keep you busy for a long time.

Btw i didnt like HoI IV either, i waited all these years, plus DLCs. Just plain garbage game and doesnt even feel like back in WW2.
