using the Focus Tree is always the better solution. So i woud either reload or restart. There are also some focuses where you can gain Territory for free like Austria, Czecheslovakia etc.
Also the Focuses that give you Wargoals have reduced World Tension penatly, some even have zero.
What's interesting is that there is no focus tree item for "Betray Russia" and launch a full scale attack against the USSR after both Poland and France have fallen, maybe with an added caveat must have been at war with the UK for two years. Historically, as we know, that's what did Hitler in.
Want to know how to cheese attack the soviets? You hit them during the purge. The only problem with doing so is that it gives the Soviets a buff "the great patriotic war" because you declared war on them. Well what happens if you declare war on one of the countries in Russia's faction?
This lets you have your bonus against them for Barbarossa without giving them their bonus because they declared on you to attack a member of their faction.
As for the Denmark, Norway and Sweden...
You should be aware that the Plan Z thing is pretty difficult to pull off. Really you're only going to make it work if you have the "La Resistance" DLC turned off. That lets you just spend political power at the start of the game to flip Norway and Sweden to become fascist.
It's incredibly not worth the effort in my opinion to try do to the same thing for Denmark as they start the game massively in the "blue". The only way to make it work requires you to complete the Plan Z decision which requires an insane number of ships. Although this might be somewhat easier now that you can do some "pre-war" shenanigans and steal some navy vessels in a double war land grab.
You can also flip Finland but it takes quite a bit of effort. The upside here is that they are neutral base not blue.
