A World Ablaze has more realistic economy and war weariness (and that makes the game much harder) Your economy can easily go to havoc and war support can really make you force end your wars (just like it should happen)
Don´t know darkest hour.
But from those I know. I like World Ablaze more. It is large an has a tons things you have to take account, but it still is much easier than Black Ice to learn. If Worlda Abaze feels too easy... then Try Black Ice. IMHO
Harder than WA but still less microing than BI.
In rising complexity (in my opinion):
- Hearts of Oak
- Darkest Hour
- BlackICE
When you will feel that, they start to be a bit too easy - Heart of Oak 2.
Darkest Hour is on upper part of difficulty curve and Blackice is on top of that.
