. Military Access to that port and area
. Enough convoys
. To move them. Your troops need to be on a port
If at war
. Dont move your troops in contested waters. You will lose them
What you can do is delete all orders from your army or troops you want to move. And make a new order in the area you want them. You can use any order. Garrison, Fallback line, ect. They should move automatically then.
When is this. Are you allied to china? And is the philipines still a puppet? Otherwise you cant move your troops. Because you dont have military access.
In mousing for Manilla in the Philipines at high zoom outs it was sometimes not on the province with the naval port. Finally noticed the red message "must be a naval port"
Also in red was appearing the risks of interception. Certainly a thing to consider.
In this game Im now moving some BB and CV battlegroups to push things back to make transporting the rest of the way viable. For now I've prestacked them up in Hawaii, causing some supply concerns.
spread out your fleet a bit. In MP games you deathstack in singleplayer you can make battlegroups to get green seas all the way up to the philipines. If you have green sea there is almost no chance for interception. And even if they did. Your fleet will protect them.
Also if you have supply issues. Make sure you have a good enough port level and supply depots build up. You can and need to build supply depots on ports too. It increases supply.
So spread out your fleets to reduce supply strains.
You saved the Philipines!
My USA pre hostilities did have 2 divisions in the Philipines. 1 at Manilla and 1 at the northern port. They Japanese landed at the middle north port of Dagupan. The Philipine troops were losing until those 2 divisions came in.
However...
A larger Japanese landing then took place on the southern Philipines and quickly gained group.
Thats when, thanks to these tips, by 20 division USA expeditionary forces was able to come in. With it are 2 mountain divisions, 2 armor divisions, several motorized, 2 cavarly, some infantry divisions (some of whom will be used to guard the other ports) and worst of all for the IJN is the USMC division. The Marines are now prepping to do a naval invasion at the only local port the japanese forces have to get supplies.
It's so pleasant to see a response like this, thanks, acknowledges and informs how it helped, you've restored my faith in humankind, thankyou.
