Victoria 3 did come 12 years after Victoria 2. HOI4 wa released at 2016 so 12 years would be about 2028...
Sorry I didn't realize we had a professional programmer here.. I didn't realize they were not able to make a more modern, efficient game engine that isn't 10 years old.. my mistake
Allthough, does anyone think those old school devs/programers know how to incorporotae AI ??? And lets check, which computergame does use real AI and not the usual calculations for the non-human. Name me one and you are the new God of wisdom.
People don't want magic, they want a new game that gives pdx that chance to fix the horrible broken state of these games from a fresh slate, instead of stitching more and more updates and DLCs onto an outdated and bloated base from 7 years ago.
Bye bye Paradox its been real...
HOI4 isnt that bad and imo its not a complete game. It still needs to overhaul all the majors, give the remaining european, South American and Middle Eastern countries focus trees, and redo Asia.
Once thats done, I think HOI4 will be 'done'
*Me looking at the total conversion mods that do that + have unique mechanics already*
May be a new game could be engineered for efficient automated testing following what is considered good software engineering practice. But I'm not holding my breath expecting that because the gaming industry doesn't seem to care much about quality.
