Should I spend extra money just for mods?

I got hoi4 on gamepass and now I can’t find out how to get mods or play with most of the people who use steam I got a couple of the dlcs (not all of them) and I think it might be worth it since I am starting to get bored with the base game on single player.

most mods dont use all or many dlc, the newer dlcs are rarely used on mods so you will be ok unless you choose something that modifies tanks or planes

The thing about that as I have already stated I don’t have it on steam I have it on Xbox gamepass

i dont know how to help with that, i think theres a forum for technical stuff, in any case you can try downloading from github, the bigger mods post there so you just have to search

Why? Some children play challenging games adults play ... likewise, some adults may find some childrens/teen games more to their liking.

If one gets bored right off the bat with HOI IV, it is likely this person is not geared for the challenging HOI IV.

I remember when I first got HOI IV, I didn't know anything ... but ... I was excited and hyped to learn, study, research Google, read the WIKI, play the tutorial Very slowly so I knew what was going on.

What always remained was this burning desire to LEARN.

All I am saying is if "one gets bored" immediately then they do not have that burning desire to learn and become an expert in this challenging game.

That's all I'm saying. We are all different. We all like different things. The OP may like games that are far less challenging and have a FAR LESS Learning Curve.

Potential players need to be honest with themself and know their own traits to be able to decide if a game is right for them.

I just want players to be happy and have fun with games. That is the whole purpose of a game. ... "FUN" is different things to different people.

This is like the worst bait post you have done so far, everyone knows vanilla HOI4 is not challenging at all once you learn the base mechanics, mods make it way more challenging.

Try playing Kaiserreich, Total War, BICE, World Ablaze and then go back to vanilla, its piss easy.

You dont need tactics in the vanilla game, you can literally spam infantry and air and let the AI waste equipment and manpower on you when they try to attack, you can literally do that as Soviets and never lose a tile.
